Birth support
I have chosen to retire from providing medical birth care to focus on the part of birth I love best: supporting families. As a monitrice or birth doula with my midwifery experience and license, I attend your birth providing all the same emotional and comfort measures as a doula but with the addition of home heartbeat and vital signs monitoring before we arrive at the hospital.
At least two prenatal visits
Full birth support, laboring at home and then accompanying you at the hospital until after birth
At least three postpartum and lactation visits
Phone, text, and email support as needed
Postpartum and lactation care
I can follow you and your well newborn until six weeks postpartum as a primary care provider. You are welcome to continue care with your pediatrician and birth provider as you see fit and as medical issues arise that are outside my scope of practice.
As IBCLCs, I am committed to fully supporting the nursing relationship if you choose
Monitor your baby’s growth and development
Follow your physical healing (bleeding, uterine involution, vital signs, perineal healing, etc)
Help you get the support you need logistically and emotionally
My goal is to collaborate with you on building towards a healthy pregnancy, empowered birth and thriving family.
I value the ability of clients to nurture their pregnancies and make choices for themselves and their babies. I strive to offer care rooted in shared decision making, informed choice, and empowerment of the birthing family.
